to all the disbelievers,
i wouldnt even know, why it possibly couldnt work !
hydrodynamics works just fine !

the boat glued like a magnet on the water !
very amazing to me, it works so well without ballast,
the boat is having not the optimal speed and performance at this time, because the foil is not built perfectly, and the boat sheers a lot to windward,
but you can see the typical effect dramatically already,
the boat sails all the time upright, but the foil is drastically bending at times

in comparision to test1, you have two forces now to push against each other, and give it a direction,
its not easy to detect the force-limit, may be, you need a stress gauge some where,
but i'm shure, you can learn it intuitively,
theoretically and practically, you have hardly any heeling even in the strongest of winds,
today, the weather and wind are very heavy for a modellboat, but it works!

great!
hard conditions on this day, other model boats would have had big problems,

i had put the beam a little bit after wards to correct the veering to wind ward,
next time i need more sails and a longer main hull for better course consistency, but this is not the problem at this moment, the forces converting directly in boatspeed, the hull speed is more
than overshoot !
with the big main sail the boat is over powered, so it is capsizing over the bow !,
and this is not a problem originating from the foil, but from the too short main hull or a too long mast,
the vectors are not as designed, because the foil is
bending, but it works good enough,
in this combination, i can do nothing to make it better, i could put more sails towards the ends, but this is a thing for the next boat,
next time i build the longer high speed main hull, for a completly new boat
but let's still have a little bit fun and experience with this.

november 1
a big storm goes over germany !
its a good chance to test the boat and see, how it works,
real 6-8bft, its like a model tornado at the highest category,
"haua, haua"
no chance to use my mountain bike, like the other days,
the hardest moment was to take the boat to the beach, it is almost breaking apart,
but in the water the boat rotated optimal to the wind for minimal stress on sails and material,

i dont want to be testing wave capability, i know, the hull is too short and the mast too long, and i dont want to be breaking any speed records,
but i want to test the concept of the foil, so i go to the windward side of the lake,
here the wind is still harder and comes from many directions,
but what can i say, the boat works just great,

in video7 you can see definitively the funktion of the vector foil, as the blast is coming down,
heavy !
if this experience would be on a real boot, you would need a seatbelt, or on the minimum, the beer would swap out of the glass, or you would break your teeth,
the acceleration is extremely, the power of the foil is almost endless,
if you play the video in slow motion, you can see, how the vector foil is working in that moment, when the blast is coming down,
at first, the foil lifts up in result of the extreme force,
but in the next moment, in result of this, the lateral surface is getting smaller, the boat drifts to lee ward and in result of this, the 45 degree part of the foil pushes the beam back on down, but only so much, till the lateral surface is in the old position again, and the boat is not drifting any more,
all that happens in a split second,
this video is the absolut argument for the perfect working of the vector foil,
against other positions, the foil would work only in motion, is disproved,
the foil works as well, when the boat is standing still,

You see a rough, which meets the still standing boat all of a sudden. The boat makes a nod-movement, doesn’t give a special sportsmanlike impression, due to the earlier mentioned reasons (lack of hull length, centrifugal power etc.) but nevertheless …

in previous lesson, we have learnt, the vfp is the greatest artist in stormy weather,
today, i have learnt, the vfp is also that boat, which is a record breaker in lite conditions too,
as expert sailers knows, sailing in lite winds is the most stressing ever, so he has no engine,
but, what is an engine in the middle of the ocean ?,
detecting any minimal of a wind , which comes as well from different directions, and must be translated in a forward drive,
the vfp does this by it self, finds the optimal direction and the maximum of speed, like a human never could,
you can do other things, like playing chess, sleeping, or give the boat a new coat of paint, etc.
a big stress factor less,
the video is no trick, there was no leash, to pull the boat over the lake,
you can put the vfp in the middle of the lake, in absolut calm conditions,
and the vfp will find the way in a short time to the shore some where,
no problem
